Lessons learnt
The project was paused due to concerns from residents in Netherseal.
At that time (2020) only gravel introduction was delivered.
In 2023, the rest of the capital works were delivered.
We engaged with the local Councillor to facilitate community engagement, and due to community interest, we held an evening engagement walk in June 2024 to see the river restoration works, which was well attended by the community and 2 farmers. This led to the creation of the Netherseal community volunteer group, working on Himalayan Balsam bashing in Nether Wood.
This case study is pending approval by a RiverWiki administrator.
