River Restoration Centre http://www.therrc.co.uk The River Restoration Centre (RRC) leads for West region in the RESTORE partnership.

The River Restoration Centre exists to promote, facilitate and support best practice in river, watercourse and floodplain management across the UK. It aims to provide a focal point for the exchange and dissemination of information and expertise relating to river restoration and enhancement. The Centre also provides advice on site-specific technical issues through a network of experienced river restoration practitioners. RRC is a non-profit making organisation which aims to offer impartial advice to enable practitioners and clients, to gain maximum benefit from current experiences in a variety of easily accessible ways

Rivers Agency of Northern Ireland http://www.dardni.gov.uk/riversagency/ The increasing importance of conservation issues and, in particular, the requirements of recent legislation and strategies have a direct impact on the work of the Agency. Environmentally sensitive practices are required when carrying out work on all rivers. Departmental commitments on conserving the natural environment demand special attention to watercourses that provide habitat for rare species, or are most susceptible to the effects of works operations.
