Project summary

Edit project overview to modify the project summary.

Vaalimaanjoen kunnostukset keskittyvät Reinikkalankosken vanhan sääntelypadon korvaamiseen pohjapadolla ja kalatiellä. Työt keskittyvät matalanveden aikaan, koska muutostöiden aikana veden täytyy virrata voimalaitoksen läpi. Padon poiston jälkeen uomaan reunoja louhitaan. Irralliset kivet kiinnitetään paikoilleen. Pohjapato täytetään hiekalla, soralla ja kiveyksellä. Padon harjalle levitetään kutusoraa. Kalatiestä kivetään 3-5 metriin leveä uoma. Kunnostustöiden ansiosta vaelluskaloille avautuu mahdollisuus nousta joen yläjuoksulle.

The restoration was complited as a part of the Interreg IV C funded HEALFISH Project.
