Project summary

Edit project overview to modify the project summary.

The Koffiegoot is a stream running from the Haaksbergerveen to the river Berkel that is named after the brown color it gets from its peaty substrate.

Water authority Rijn en IJssel will re-design the stream and its surroundings. This is supposed to improve the opportunities fort he natural stream system to develop, retain more water and make the natural features more prominent.

The landscape should develop into a small-scale landscape with pools, heathland, grassland and patches of deciduous woodland. The pools will be conncected by a narrow stream that gradually widens and starts to meander. Vegetated earth walls and local bogs create a varied landscape.
