The 1,5 km long Szárazerdei river branch of the Danube was restored and a 1,5 ha open water surface was created in the special Slovakian-Hungarian Transboundary
Danube Wetland area (Szigetköz). Feeding and nesting conditions for targeted bird species were restored.
