|Project summary=Het waterlichaam Ramsbeek behoort tot de KRW categorie “Rivieren”. Het waterlichaam behoort tot het waterlichaam type R5: langzaam stromende middenloop/benedenloop op zand. Het waterlichaam Ramsbeek is volledig in beheer bij Waterschap Rijn en IJssel. Het waterlichaam ligt in de Provincie Gelderland en valt binnen de gemeente Berkelland. Het waterlichaam, de Ramsbeek, heeft een lengte van 5,2 kilometer en een stroomgebied in Nederland van 2334 ha. De Ramsbeek heeft haar oorsprong deels in Duitsland en wordt daarnaast gevoed door de Veengoot die ontspringt nabij de Leemputten en het Zwillbrocker Venn. Het totale stroomgebied van de Ramsbeek is 4152 ha waarvan 1818 ha in Duitsland ligt. De Ramsbeek mondt uit in de Berkel. Om het peil te regelen zijn er in de Ramsbeek één regelbare stuw en zes vaste stuwen. In 2013 zijn de stuwen vispasseerbaar gemaakt of verwijderd. In het waterlichaam Ramsbeek wordt per peilvak een vast maximum streefpeil gehanteerd, als gevolg van de vaste stuwen. Het peil is afhankelijk van de bovenstroomse aanvoer. In de stuwpanden met de variabele stuwen is het peil variabel. Deze stuwen zijn in de afgelopen planperiode verwijderd in het kader van de herinrichting van de beek. Het waterlichaam

The Ramsbeek carries water all year. Upstream parts of the waterways do not run dry during dry periods. There are no sewage treatment plants present in the catchment of the Ramsbeek.

Ramsbeek is het gehele jaar watervoerend. Tijdens droge periodes vallen de bovenstroomse delen van de watergangen niet droog. In het stroomgebied van de Ramsbeek liggen geen RWZI’s of IBA’s.
