Het waterlichaam Eefse Beek behoort tot de KRW categorie Rivieren. Het waterlichaam behoort tot het waterlichaam type R5: langzaam stromende middenloop/ benedenloop op zand. Het waterlichaam Eefse Beek is volledig in beheer bij Waterschap Rijn en IJssel. Het waterlichaam ligt in de Provincie Gelderland en valt binnen de gemeente Lochem. Het waterlichaam, de Eefse Beek, heeft een lengte van 12,1 kilometer en een stroomgebied van 4080 hectare. Het waterlichaam bestaat uit de watergangen de Eefse Beek, de Molenbeek en de Huurnerbeek. Het waterlichaam vindt zijn oorsprong in het eigen stroomgebied en mondt uit via het Twentekanaal in de IJssel. Om het peil te regelen zijn in het waterlichaam Eefse Beek drie regelbare stuwen aanwezig. Er zijn geen vispasseerbare stuwen. In het waterlichaam Eefse Beek wordt per peilvak één vast streefpeil gehanteerd. Het waterlichaam Eefse Beek is het gehele jaar watervoerend. Er is wel een afvoerloze periode in de zomer. In het stroomgebied van de Eefse Beek liggen geen RWZI’s of IBA’s.
