Water authority Rijn en IJssel will re-design the stream and its surroundings. This is supposed to improve the opportunities fort he natural stream system to develop, retain more water and make the natural features more prominent. | |||
The landscape should develop into a small-scale landscape with pools, heathland, grassland and patches of deciduous woodland. The pools will be conncected by a narrow stream that gradually widens and starts to meander. Vegetated earth walls and local bogs create a varied landscape. | |||
