This bank was vertical because of the erosion and it was collapsing. Gabions (vegetated by Salix salvifolia) were used to stabilize the lower part of the bank and the upper part was prepared for planting mediterranean shrubs (Oleander and Tamryx spp) after reprofiling and setting an organic matt.
