Seven fish passes were built on Marta River, to improve the biological continuity.
The sites are:
- San Savino dam I
- San Savino dam II
- San Savino dam III
- Fioritella
- Tuscania paper mill
- Spina wading
- Tarquinia paper mill
There were built both technical passes (similar to civil engineering works) and semi-natural passes (whose appearance mimics as much as possible the natural characteristics of natural river, creating rapids, small tributaries…)
