January 2009 - During works. New meander channel cut off-line and connected to the existing channel in stages once complete. The downstream end of each meander was opened up first and allowed to fill with water. Each meander was left for a period to allow sediments to settle and reduce the potential for dirty water to pass downstream before the upstream was slowly opened. ©AECOM
